Apple Festival
Broom Orchard is celebrating their 26th annual Apple Festival, Saturday and
Sunday, September 27th and 28th from 9:00 to 6:00 each day. The farm
market is stocked full of freshly picked apples, sweet cider, Amish-made apple butter, preserves,
butters, no-sugar spreads, Illinois honey, popcorn, nuts, salsa, Village
candles, and other specialty items.
M & A Stables will have pony rides. The Corn
Maze, Straw Maze, and the playground area are available at no
cost. Wagon rides through the orchard are always a fun
experience. Crafters will set up next to the playground with their wares.
Craft spaces are available for the weekend. For information, contact Lisa at
1-217-854-3514. Old-fashioned
kettle korn will be piping hot and the Pork Producers will be serving
sandwiches. Brooms will have their famous cider slush, nachos and home-made caramel apples.
Broom's invite everyone to come out and celebrate the

Pumpkin Festival
Brooms will celebrate their 18th annual Pumpkin Festival, Saturday and
Sunday, October 11th and 12th from 9:00 to 6:00 each day. The farm market will be fully stocked with the usual
goodies including several apple varieties such as Jonathons, Golden Delicious,
Red Delicious, Grimes, Ida Red, Mutzu, Blushing Golden, Fuji, Braeburn, Winesap,
Granny Smith, Scarlet Beauty, along with Sweet Cider. You can search for
the perfect jack-o-lantern at Broom's five-acre pumpkin patch. Brooms will offer pre-picked
pumpkins, gourds and fall decor.
M & A Stables will have pony rides. The Corn Maze,
Straw Maze, and the playground area will be ready to be enjoyed at no cost.
